In Depth with Mike Fortune
In 2012, Rainbow’s End, in collaboration with Mike Fortune and Cable 14 announced the launch of In Depth with Mike Fortune, a Cable 14 program focused on mental illness and the role it plays within the Hamilton community.
Each episode provides viewers with in-depth, thought provoking commentary from local panelists on issues such as mental illness and the youth population, suicide prevention and intervention and substance abuse and addiction. Mr. Fortune will moderate a series of panel discussions which will tackle the key issues surrounding mental illness, while addressing these issues at a local level. The 11-episode series sheds light on this often invisible, yet pervasive health issue.

Interview with Chris Yendt
“View from the Big Chair”
Interview by David Williams with Christopher Yendt. Director and Chair Rainbow’s End from September 1st, 2015 to September 20th, 2022. This interview was recorded on 21 January, 2022.
Christopher holds both a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Bachelor of Education degree from Brock University. He an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) and a registered consultant with the Association of Registered Psychotherapists & Mental Health Professionals (OACCPP). He is researching mental health literacy (MHL) among pre-service teacher candidates through a master’s program at Brock.
After experiencing mental illness concerns first hand, Christopher chose to become involved as a volunteer in the mental health community and in addition to Rainbow’s End he currently serves as Vice-President for the Canadian Mental Health Association in Niagara, Vice-Chair of NEXTNiagara and as a Board Member of the North Hamilton Community Health Centre.
